Riley Hawk, a son of Tony Hawk, weds Frances Bean, a descendant of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love.
Now that Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of Kurt Cobain and
Courtney Love, and Riley Hawk, the son of Tony Hawk, are married, it smells
like a '90s nostalgia-infused wedding.
The 30-year-old skateboarder, following in his
father's footsteps, and the 31-year-old singer's daughter from the late Nirvana
tied the knot on October 7 in Los Angeles, per records obtained by TMZ.
According to the publication, Cobain's godfather and former R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe
officiated the ceremony. Before saying "I do" in 2014, she and Silva, who is now 38, dated for five years. Just about two years later, she filed for divorce. She was required to pay for
her father's renowned Martin guitar as part of the settlement.
Cobain, a model and visual artist, is the only child of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" singer
and the former frontwoman of Hole.
In Seattle, in April 1994, the elder Cobain committed suicide. Fans asked the FBI to reopen
their investigation into the case in 2021 because they thought it might have
involved a killing.
