This weekend's US Grand Prix, the fifth sprint weekend of the season, brings Formula One back to the Circuit of the Americas.
Last time out in Qatar, Max Verstappen successfully defended his 2023 world championship and won his 14th grand prix of the year. However, Oscar Piastri of McLaren, who won the sprint race and finished second in the grand prix on Sunday, was the driver of the weekend.Lewis Hamilton had a terrible weekend after colliding with George Russell, a teammate from Mercedes, while Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, teammates from Ferrari, were in the group of drivers hot on his tail. For McLaren to secure a double podium, Lando Norris came in third.
Lewis Hamilton, who has yet to win a race since the 2021 season, was edged out by Verstappen in a dramatic race at COTA last year. But Hamilton has won five times on the circuit.
