A wolf hybrid is on the loose in the Bay Area; DO NOT ADVANCE.
A wolf hybrid that is allegedly at large on the outskirts of
Sebastopol is the target of authorities' attention.The animal was last seen
strolling "south of the Highway 12 bridge on
the eastern edge of town. The wolf is described as dark gray or black in
color with yellow eyes, and its sighting sparked a multi-agency search for it.
However, as of Sunday afternoon, experts had not found it.In a statement, the
Sebastopol Police Department stated, "If spotted, DO NOT APPROACH."
"Give the location and direction of travel to law enforcement and contact
them right away."
Canines created from the mating of a wolf and a domestic dog are known as wolf hybrids. The
Fish and Wildlife Department states that it is illegal to own first-generation
wolf hybrids. While owning a descendent of a first-generation wolf hybrid does
not require a state permission, some counties and cities may forbid possession
